The following terms apply to scheduling, service coordination, and jobsite-related matters and are supplemental to any written service agreement.
Clients must provide safe, uninterrupted access to the jobsite during scheduled work hours. Work areas must be cleared of personal belongings, furniture, pets, and children prior to work beginning.
Clients and guests are not permitted in active work zones without approval. Interference with work activities or unsafe behavior may result in suspension or termination of services.
Clients authorize the use of onsite utilities including electricity, water, and HVAC systems as reasonably required. Reasonable space must be provided for materials, tools, equipment, vehicles, trailers, and dumpsters, including overnight staging when necessary.
Clients are responsible for disclosing HOA or municipal restrictions that may affect access or staging.
Toy Handyman Services requires the ability to park vehicles and equipment as close to the property and work area as reasonably possible. Clients must ensure parking areas, driveways, and access routes are clear of obstructions, including vehicles, debris, snow, ice, mud, or weather-related hazards.
Toy Handyman Services is not responsible for cosmetic or incidental damage resulting from necessary parking or driving on the property to complete assigned tasks, including minor cracking, surface wear, lawn damage, rutting, or driveway markings.
Removal or relocation of items not included in the demolition scope is the client’s responsibility. Minor repositioning of small items may be performed as a courtesy. Movement of large, heavy, fragile, or specialty items is not included and may be coordinated at additional cost. Toy Handyman Services is not responsible for damage to items left in work areas.
Construction activities inherently generate dust and airborne particles. While reasonable control measures are used, dust, including fine and residual dust, cannot be eliminated and may continue to settle after work completion. Additional homeowner cleaning is expected. Enhanced dust mitigation services are not included unless contracted separately.
Drywall finishing follows industry standards consistent with GA-214 guidelines and is evaluated under normal lighting conditions from standard viewing distances.
Level 1 and Level 2 finishes are intended for utility or unfinished areas and are evaluated from a minimum viewing distance of six feet. Tool marks, fasteners, and surface variations may be visible and are considered acceptable.
Level 3 finishes are intended for textured surfaces and are evaluated from a minimum viewing distance of five feet under normal lighting. Minor surface variations are acceptable.
Level 4 finishes are standard residential finishes intended for smooth painted walls and are evaluated from a minimum viewing distance of four feet under normal lighting conditions. Minor imperfections may be visible under close inspection or strong side lighting and are considered normal.
Level 5 finishes are premium finishes requiring a full skim coat and additional surface preparation. They are intended for areas with critical lighting conditions or high-gloss finishes and are evaluated from a minimum viewing distance of three feet. Level 5 finishes must be specifically requested and approved in writing.
Minor imperfections consistent with the specified finish level are normal and acceptable. Perfect surfaces are not attainable.
Painting is a finish trade subject to surface conditions, lighting, material limitations, and industry-accepted tolerances. Painted surfaces are evaluated from normal viewing distances under typical lighting conditions and not with flashlights, spotlights, raking light, or extreme angles.
Utility or low-visibility paint finishes are evaluated from a minimum viewing distance of six feet and may show roller marks, texture variation, or minor inconsistencies.
Standard residential paint finishes are evaluated from a minimum viewing distance of four feet under normal lighting. Minor imperfections, touch-up visibility, or sheen variation may be present and are considered acceptable.
Premium or Level 5 paint finishes are evaluated from a minimum viewing distance of three feet under normal lighting conditions. These finishes require additional preparation and must be specifically requested and approved in writing.
Touch-ups may be visible due to paint sheen, color variation, drying conditions, or surface texture. Exact color, texture, or sheen matching cannot be guaranteed.
Upon completion of the primary scope of work, a final walkthrough may be conducted. Minor remaining items may be documented in a written Punch List. Punch List items are limited to minor corrections and do not include new work or scope changes. Completion of Punch List items does not delay project completion or warranty start dates unless stated otherwise in writing.
Toy Handyman Services provides a construction-level clean only. Deep cleaning, window washing, duct cleaning, or move-in-ready cleaning are not included unless separately contracted.
By accepting services, clients acknowledge that photos or videos may be taken before, during, and after work for documentation, quality control, warranty records, dispute protection, and potential marketing use, excluding identifying personal details without written consent.
Clients may request rescheduling with at least twenty-four hours’ notice. Requests with less than twenty-four hours’ notice may result in a fee of up to two hundred fifty dollars or the project deposit amount, whichever is less.
If a project start date is delayed more than fourteen days due to client-related issues, storage or holding fees may apply. Scheduling availability may be adjusted accordingly.
Returned checks or failed electronic payments will result in responsibility for all bank fees plus a fifty-dollar administrative charge. Work may be paused until all outstanding balances are resolved.
Toy Handyman Services reserves the right to refuse or terminate service due to unsafe conditions, client misconduct, non-payment, misrepresentation, or failure to comply with these Terms or any service agreement.
Toy Handyman Services maintains all required licensing and liability insurance to operate within Pennsylvania. Proof is available upon request.
Toy Handyman Services shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, labor shortages, material shortages, supply chain disruptions, or government actions.
These Terms and Conditions apply to use of this website and establish baseline policies related to scheduling, jobsite access, safety, conduct, and general service expectations for work performed by Toy Handyman Services at client properties.
Actual construction, remodeling, or handyman services are governed by separate written service agreements, proposals, estimates, invoices, and customer contracts. These Terms supplement and provide a baseline, but do not replace, those agreements. In the event of any conflict, the written service agreement shall control, anything not written these terms and conditions will control.
